Our primitive brains were designed to keep us safe and expend as little energy as possible. This is why whenever we decide to set goals or make a change in our life, the brain resists these changes by offering us all kinds of indulgent emotions—emotions that encourage us to stay comfortable, not leave our comfort zone, or make progress towards new goals or behaviors.
One of the most common indulgent emotions is self-doubt. In this episode we explore self-doubt in depth and see how it is keeping us stuck and preventing us from taking action in our lives. We'll also discover what we can do to manage our thoughts and replace self-doubt with confidence and determination.
Whatever it is that you want in life, whatever you want to change, whatever you want to do, however you want to grow, whoever you want to love….it requires you to move out of safety and comfort, which means giving up indulgent emotions like self-doubt. When we give these up and purposefully choose thoughts that move us into action instead, anything is possible….and that my friends is 100% awesome!
